The Welcome Package

Foreign companies of advanced technologies can also benefit from the *Welcome Package*, which was developed by the dortmund-project together with the Economic Development Dortmund to support foreign companies when setting up business in Dortmund. The dortmund-project was initiated in 2000 by the City of Dortmund and about 80 private investors in the Dortmund region. It intends to set up a new generation of core industries to strengthen the rank of Dortmund as one of the top locations for high-tech industries (advanced technologies) in Europe.

The Welcome Package comprises extensive services, starting from facilitation of public registration processes and all matters concerning work permit, procurement of office and housing space as well as consulting on subsidy schemes, banks and insurance.
